Accreditation Actions

April 2021

New York College of Podiatric Medicine - At its April 2021 meeting, the Council elected, based on an on-site evaluation, to extend accreditation through April 2026.

Concerning the substantive change request, the Accreditation Committee and Council reviewed and granted preliminary approval of the substantive change request until such time that CPME can conduct an on-site evaluation when the affiliation is operational.

October 2020

During the October 2020 meeting, the Council took no accreditation actions.

May 2020

New York College of Podiatric Medicine - At its May 2020 meeting, the Council elected to postpone the NYCPM site visit from June 8-11, 2020 to late fall 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the accreditation term for NYCPM was set to expire in October 2020, the Accreditation Committee recommended and the Council voted to approve, extending the accreditation term to October 2021 due to the inability to conduct the site visit before the accreditation expiration date as a result of the pandemic.

Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine - The Council accepted and voted to approve the Accreditation Committee’s recommendation to increase the class size at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine from 53 to 60 beginning fall 2020.

Midwestern University Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine - At its April 2019 meeting, the Council elected, based on an on-site evaluation, to extended accreditation through April 2027.

October 2017

Midwestern University Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine - At its October 2017 meeting, the Council authorized an increase of 10 students for a total of 40 students in the School of Podiatric Medicine, effective with the 2018–2019 academic year.

Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine - At its April 2017 meeting, the Council elected, based on an on-site evaluation, to extended accreditation through April 2025.

October 2016

Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine - At its October 2016 meeting, the Council elected, based on an on-site evaluation, to extend accreditation through October 2024.

April 2016

Western University of Health Sciences College of Podiatric Medicine - At its April 2016 meeting, the Council elected, based on an on-site evaluation, to extended accreditation through April 2024.
