Following a call for comment period from the community of interest, CPME has adopted the revisions to CPME 320, Standards and Requirements for Approval of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residencies, and CPME 330, Procedures for Approval of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residencies, with the exception of Appendix C, Milestones, due to comments from the community of interest. The Council elected to defer making a decision related to Appendix C, Milestones. CPME will survey the community of interest related to the required use of Milestones in residency training and will revisit this issue at its April 2023 meeting.
The newly approved documents have an implementation date of July 1, 2023.
