CPME’s 56 continuing education providers represent a diverse range of business and organizational types. State associations comprise the largest provider category, followed by colleges/schools of podiatry, publishing/education companies, hospitals/healthcare delivery systems, and professional membership organizations.
Accreditation by Other Organizations
Most CPME-accredited providers are not accredited by another accrediting organization. Of the 56 providers, 45 (80.4%) are not accredited by another provider, while 11 (19.6%) are accredited by another accrediting organization. Of those 11 providers, four are accredited by ACCME.
Continuing Education Activity Delivery
The 56 providers collectively offer 1,416 continuing education activities across a variety of delivery formats. On-demand education is the most frequently used format, representing 844 activities (59.6%). Webinars, internet-live activities, and live in-person activities account for an additional 34.1% of activities combined.
